Golf Courses in Newport

Newport is the newest city in Wales.

Newport is surrounded by countryside, where you have the oppurtunity to go fishing in the rivers, and catch some fresh salmon.

For the twitchers out there, there the Newport Wetlands Centre will keep you gazing at the birds sweeping and swooping for hours.

There are many castles and mansions in the Newport area, including the Roman fortress in Caerleon, where you can enjoy a historical day out for free. Newport has many golf courses on offer, including the prestigous Celtic Manor Resort, hosts for the 2010 Ryder Cup. Not from Newport is Chepstow, which hosts many different horse races including the Coral Welsh National.
